Personal Statement

I am in my second semester of my junior year currently. I recently moved and currently attend Richmond Hill High School. I recently broke my high school's Long Jump Record by more than 2 inches, and I am on target to break the 100m record, and we are only in the beginning of the season. I am currently training and looking forward to a good year on the varsity team as a Long Jumper, Sprinter and Heptathlete. My main focus this year is not only my grades, but staying injury free and going on college visits to find a school that offers the best balance of academics and competitive track and field.

I'm coming into my junior year with the following PR's:

-Long Jump (Richmond High School 2018) 16'2.50" (I am still working on getting on the board-I was a foot behind the board)

-Long Jump (Indoor) (Step Ur Game Up Track Club 2017) 16'11"

-Heptathlon-USATF Region 13 Junior Olympics (Step ur Game Up Track Club 2017) 3,054 points

-Long Jump USATF Region 13 Junior Olympics (Step ur Game Up Track Club 2017) 17'2"

For now, my focus is on a strong academic finish and getting good grades that will lay the foundation for my ultimate goal to go into Psychology or Sports Marketing. I am scheduled to take my ACT's this spring, and I am also performing community service when I can with my mother's military sorority, Rho Upsilon Tau. Some of my immediate community service has been with USATF, working the youth meets to give younger track athletes support at their meets.

I want to be the best prospective college athlete for the team that will allow me to learn and grow, as well as contribute to their legacy and commitment to good sportsmanship. I am open to opportunities throughout the United States.

For the 2018 season, I am looking to improve in the following events: Heptathlon (Goal of 4000 points), Long Jump (Goal of 18 feet) , 100m (Goal of 12.00), and 200m (Goal of 26.00). I hope to start specializing as a jumper through my Senior year.
