Personal Statement

As an elite track and field athlete, I aim to set myself up for success. My ultimate goal is to make it to the Olympics! In my eyes, track is a team and individual sport.  In the future, I see myself as a key contributor towards conference titles and other championships. I’m a team player who always steps up for relays and anything the team needs. Coaches will want me on their team because I am dedicated to perfecting my craft and am not afraid of competition. My drive to be successful comes from watching my idol Caster Semenya and her fight to overcome adversity. What makes me stand out is that I know how to manage my school, track, and personal life exceptionally. Not only am I a hard worker on the track but in the classroom as well. I am respectful and appreciate feedback when given. As I continue to peruse my destiny, I look forward to excelling on this journey with you.
