Delaney Malone '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I’m Delaney, a junior graduating from Elk Grove High School (IL) in 2025 and I’m interested in continuing my running career in college as well. I’ve run Track and Field since freshman year and love it. The thrill and excitement of the 800m and 1600m is amazing and I’m looking forward to this season. Last year, my best times were 2:21 in the 800m and 5:15 in the 1600m. During my freshman and sophomore years, I was a varsity swimmer. This year, I decided to run year round and joined my school’s XC team. In my first year, I was All-Conference and qualified for IHSA 3A State. I’m really excited for this season since I’ve been putting in a lot more miles. In addition to running, I keep a rigorous academic schedule that includes many AP, Dual Credit, and Honors classes. On top of that, I am President of Activist Club, a member of my school’s spirit club, Nation, and work as a lifeguard on the weekends. While I keep a busy schedule, I always put 110% when I’m on the track. I believe I have so much more potential in my running career and look forward to continuing it.
