When I stand on the starting line with six teammates by my side, waiting for the gun to go off, I know without a doubt that nothing is out of reach. The past three years, my teammates and I have lined up at the sectional cross country meet, unsure of where the next three miles will take us. Yet each year, I experienced the reward of securing a spot in the state finals with my teammates. Through this, I’ve learned both my strengths and my weaknesses, ultimately utilizing both in the pursuit of a new PR, and of course, the state meet. Yet now, my sights are transitioning into aspirations of collegiate running, as I strive to continue my career as a runner and a teammate.
I am beyond excited to explore the athletic and academic opportunities to come! I strive to constantly improve not only on the cross country course and track, but in the classroom as well. I have become extremely passionate in government work through my high school career, participating in a local government forum committee in accompaniment with a political campaigns course, and several Advanced Placement history courses. With that in mind, I seek to pursue a major in Political Science where I can further expand my knowledge and appreciation for the role of government in a modern society.
My dream is to find a school where I can push myself to be the best that I can be, not only as an athlete, but as a student and a person as well.
