I began my running career in fourth grade when I joined the Elgin Sharks Running Club in Elgin, IL. My running club experience provided me with a strong foundation which allowed me to have much success in both middle and high school. I have had several highlights in my track and cross country running career. One of my most memorable track experiences was when I placed in both the 800 and 1600 in the 7th grade 3A Girls IESA State Championships. One of my most memorable cross country experiences was winning the IHSA girls 3A regional meet as a freshmen.
In high school I am focused on qualifying and earning all-state honors in both Track and Cross country. Being a competitive athlete has taught me that you need to be just as strong mentally as you are physically. It's also instilled in me that your success is based on your effort and drive. School has always been a top priority for me and something I value greatly and work just as hard in as well.
Overall, I consider myself very dedicated, mentally strong, consistent, coachable, and a good leader. I am motivated to continue my running career in college, to reach my personal goals and to make a positive impact on your program and help the team reach its goals as well.
