I have always tried to balance my life out with sports, school, family, and friends but sports has been a part of my life since a young age. I am a strong team player, dedicated athlete, and a positive leader and mentor in and out of sports, and always put 100% into all of my work. Sports have helped me every day and to prepare me for the future with building my self confidence, motivation, dedication, positivity, time management, and overall physical and mental strength. I always push myself whether in or out of sports to be the best person (student athlete) I can be while always trying to improve something. Focusing on setting, building, and reaching my overall goals, and to always try and be better than I was the day before (track wise, school etc.) Coming into high school having no prior experience with track, I went out for the track team freshman year and ran my first and only 2 meets on varsity before covid ended the season. The past two years have been challenging again due to covid cutting short my first year of high school season as a freshman, and a gymnastics injury that also cut all of my sophomore high school and club track season. No matter what nothing holds me back... I have remained positive and strong, learned to push forward with any circumstance that comes my way, always determined to stay focus on my goals and dreams, and to never give up!
Although I enjoy gymnastics, learned a lot, and succeeded in competing for the USA Junior Olympic organization, I realized after my first track experience that this was something I wanted to pursue and move forward with and make track a main priority. This was a hard but important decision for my remaining high school years and future college years! I wanted to make track my number 1 sport while in high school and after these setbacks I wanted to prove myself and come back stronger for meet season, competing at high school and club meets, sectionals, state and hope to maybe qualify and compete at nationals in my events, while trying to progress and build my goals at every practice and meet, I am excited for what the rest of my high school track career and future holds, hoping to be able to continue my career of track and field in college at the next level!
