- New Athens held conferences this year and this was my best time on the course. We and a heavy cloud covering and lots of wind that day. I was also suffering from a cold.

- This meet was hosted by Red Bud High School at Fort de Chartres not far from my house. It had rained earlier that day so the ground was a little slick. I ran a time of 22:13 and got 7/31.

- This was my first meet of my first season of cross country. I ran 1.5 miles in 13:28.

- I have taken karate for almost 2 years now. When I started it was for fun because I wasn't interested in school sports. I still take the class because it helps my with cross country and my sensi gives me tips and exercise plans to help me stay in shape.

- My sister has a yoga instruction book that we share. I do yoga every night to keep my lungs open and my body flexible.
