My goals and aspirations are quite simple, to be the finest possible person, inside and outside of the classroom. I strive each day to make myself better in precisely everything I do, but my main area of focus and energy, other than my schoolwork, is my love and passion for competitive distance running. Through the years of middle and high school cross country and track, in a small town-Iowa school, I have built a prolonging fury for running. I have been the team captain of my cross country and track team, while also representing my school in various other activities. These attributes make me a well rounded student, but where you find my spike, is my academics, and running. I have been able to attend many running camps that have helped enhance my performance, but where I have seen most of my progress is my awareness of working smarter, not harder. Each weekday I run/train before school, then complete a separate workout after school. Besides my running, I have a huge interest in politics and government, which is why I wish to study Political Science/Pre-Law, and eventually obtain a law degree.
