Selena Wood '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Selena Wood, I'm 5'5 cross country and track athlete from Abington, MA, (2024), and I am a dedicated and reliable captain of my team striving towards competing in XCTF in college. I run cross country, the 1000m, 800m, 4x4, and sometimes triple and long jump. As a mid-long distance runner, I've learned a lot about myself as an athlete and person and have grown to love team-oriented environments and I hope to commit to a school with a welcoming and close-knit team. I would love to run Division I but am open to any school, and I am looking into a Sports Management Major (open to any business) and psychology minor. On the academic side of things, I am in National Honor Society, 4 AP classes and Acceletrated math classes, and have recieved presidential honors from 2018-present. I love theatre, school involvement (I am in student council, class officers, peer leaders, National Honor Society, Drama Club, captain of AHS XCTF, and Student Athletic Advisory Commission) and I always strive for progress during my 3 running seasons. I hope I can find a school that fits me where I can continue my academic and athletic career!
