Track and field isn’t just a sport to me; it is something that has shaped me into the dedicated and committed athlete I am today. Ever since I started track freshman year of highschool, I was drawn to the thrill of racing and pushing myself to new limits. One thing that makes track and field so special to me is the individual nature of the sport combined with a whole team supporting you. While we compete as individuals in various events we motivate eachother like family. This sense of unity and shared determination is what fuels my love for the sport. Track and field isn’t jus a physical challenge to me but also a mental and emotional one. It has taught me the importance of hard work, perseverance and resilience. It has also taught me the value of commitment. Waking up early for morning practices, Sacrificing social events, and pushing myself through physical and mental fatigue have all been apart of my journey with this sport. But it is through these challenges that I have grown as an athlete and a person. I have shown more commitment in my sport and more importantly school. I understand the importance of discipline and dedication, and I am willing to put the work necessary to excel in both my academic and athletic pursuits.
