Emily McAnsh '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emily McAnsh and I am currently 5 foot 10 inches tall and weigh 130 pounds. I am 6-time All-Area, 6-time All-Conference, and 4-time All-Regional. I hold three high school records at my school which are the 4x800 meter relay (9:42.77), 400 meter dash (58.21), and 4x400 meter relay (4:02.6). I have qualified for MHSAA Division 1 State Championship in the 4x400 meter relay in 2010. In 2011, I qualified in the 4x800 meter relay, 400 meter dash, and 4x400 meter relay. I compete in events from the 100 meter dash to 1600 meter run for my team. I also do high jump and have experience in long jump. Although I compete in many
events, I am most successful in the 400 meter dash where I am All-Area first team, 2-time All-Conference, Regional Champion, and placed 13^th at the State Championship. Besides Track and Field I also swim and run cross country. I am a hard working, determined, goal-oriented athlete. I train so that when I walk on to the track I know there is nothing else I could have done to prepare. I do everything at my best including school. I am a serious athlete who dreams BIG. I give everything I have and I leave everything on the field. I set my goals high and I do not stop until I reach them. I am a team player. Whatever my coaches ask of me, I will do it to the best of my ability. I would like to go to college in Michigan or in the Great Lakes Region. But I am open to anywhere in the country if there is a better opportunity. I am hoping to get accepted to a mid-size to a large school. I would like to attend a college with a high academic level and a very high athletic level. I would love a Christian based college. I would prefer an atmosphere in which my fellow students took their studies seriously and did not engage in a lot of partying. I want a safe campus and safe local atmosphere. I am undecided on what I will major in. I want to compete at the highest level possible and make an impact for the team and the college. I would love to be on a close-knit team that would be like a second family.
