Finally qualifying for states in cross country my junior year was the highlight of my last 3 seasons, as well as setting a few new personal records in my track events on my 16th birthday of my sophomore track season. I have learned from these accomplishments that if you work hard enough and care everyday, it will all pay off in the end. After my freshman and sophomore year of cross country I felt that I began to better myself not only as an athlete but also as a person in general. These two years, helped me focus and train to be able to go to states my junior year. I also believe that these years have helped me to be capable of running at a colligate level.
I have been very fortunate to have such an amazing team and program to run in, as well as an amazing coach that is always pushing me to do my best. I have also learned to value hard work, determination, commitment and teamwork. I believe that I have not only the skills, but also the work-ethic, and character to be a part of a great college program.
