Personal Statement
I started running track my 8th grade year of middle school. I am a two-sport varsity athlete in track and field and volleyball. I have competed on a club track team and volleyball team for one indoor season, two outdoor seasons, and one year of club volleyball. My preferred events are the 300m hurdles, 200m, and 4x100mR, which I competed in for club and my high school track team. In the classroom, I have kept my GPA above 3.0 or above. I’m constantly looking for ways to improve. Perseverance has always been a core part of who I am, both in athletics and in life. No matter what challenges arise, I don’t quit, and I always show up ready to put in the work. What makes me different from other recruits is my journey and the resilience I’ve developed along the way.
Academically, I carry the same level of commitment, which means excellence in the classroom is just as important as success on the track and court. I believe that the discipline I’ve built as a student-athlete will serve me well in college and beyond.
