Hi, my name is Myla Bott and I am currently a senior at Fernley high school. Over my high school career, I’ve gone to state two times for cross country and track. Within my first year of cross country, the girls team qualified coming in 4th place. It was the first time FHS cross country has gone to state in thirty-six years. We didn’t place as a team during state but we got some good times. For track, I went into regionals with four events and qualified in 3/4 of my events. 4x800, individual 400, and 4x400. I’ve also gone to competition for dance and placed 2nd out of three schools. I am very passionate as I have found the love for sports and competition. Running with my teammates which eventually becomes like family has allowed me the opportunity of not only competing but leadership, multi-tasking, and trying new things. I am looking for a school which challenges and pushes me to become a better athlete and allows me to follow my career path of getting a business degree.
