My name is Anique Poulin and I am a Junior at Dover High School in New Hampshire. I compete on the winter and spring track teams. During the fall season of both my Freshman and Sophomore year I played soccer for Dover High School at the varsity level, but I have decided to transition to cross country this fall. I’ve had a passion for running ever since I ran my first 5k road race in the first grade. Throughout my time competing in high school track, I have been given many wonderful opportunities. Some include competing at college level meets at Boston University during the winter season of my freshman year in high school. During my sophomore year, I became a New Hampshire Division 1 State Champion for the 600 meter run and placed top five in New Englands for the 600. I competed in both the winter and spring New Balance Nationals during my sophomore year (once for the Championship 400 meter run during the winter, and once for the Rising Stars 800 meter run during the spring). In addition to competing in these high level meets, I have broken school records in the 600 meter, 800 meter and 1,000 meter run at Dover High School. While achieving these athletic accomplishments, I have also managed to achieve high honor grades in my academics. I hope to continue my athletic career in college at a competitive level while also attending a school with a high level of academics.
