Personal Statement
My nick name is Yogo, kind of like "you go, girl", so it is maybe Spanglish for "I go" and for around here "I go fast"! I was born I the Dominican Republic and I came here when I was six years old only knowing how to speak Spanish. Once I got here, I learned English in two months. I love to compete. I can get very focused to run my races and to jump my jumps. I started competitive track in middle school. My favorite event is 4x100 I run usually run anchor for my teams.I love running in relays because I get and extra burst of adrenaline working with 3 other girls and not wanting to let them down. I run for the USATF club team Granite State Flash to improve my high jump. Over the past two season's I have improved my high jump by 10 inches with the great coaching of my USATF Coach David. Now I'm a junior, I love track and competing on a team. I would love to continue running track in college.
