Personal Statement
Track and Cross-country have shaped me as a person and I cannot imagine my life without these sports. After begging my Mom to put me on a track team in fourth grade, I joined the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Track Team. I participated on this team and my middle school team from 6th to 8th grade. In high school, I began running for Bergen Academies. Competing on the high school level enhanced my love for both track and cross-country. Even though I was faced with a serious injury during my sophomore cross-country season, I was able to overcome a broken foot and come back for indoor track. Currently, I am in the midst of entering my championship season and I am fully recovered. I would love to continue my running journey in college. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
