My goal since I was a freshman in high school was to become a top thrower and compete at the collegiate level. But my goal is not to just compete, but go to and get a great education at a competitive academic institution. I don't want to have graduated high school with regrets because I never reached my full potential. I have numerous accomplishments in the area of throwing, but there is more I want to accomplish. As a freshman I had very high goals for myself, such as winning the County tournament. In this season I accomplished more than I could've imagined when I won the Prep championship, the Conference championship, the Freshman Sophomore meet, the County tournament, Sectionals and came in second in the Non Public A Group championship. But one of my best moments was coming in 7th at the State Meet of Champions in discus as a freshman. To add to my accomplishments my freshman year I also held my school's discus record from early in the season to the end. In shot put as a freshman I came in seventh in the County championship, third in the Prep championship, second at Sectionals, and fourth in the Non Public Group championship. But with success comes down moments and I experienced this during my sophomore year. After battling an injury the majority of the season and needing to get my head right I ended up placing second in the County championship, first in the Prep championship, Sectional, and the Non Public Group championship. Then in the NJ Meet of Champions I placed 6th as a sophomore. But, my determination has not been affected and I will still push on until I reach my final goal because failure was never an option for someone like me. When I say I'm going to do something I do it and do it with great effort. I will achieve achieve my goal of attending a top university and having the great pleasure of competing there, as well as graduating with a degree as I want to continue on to medical school after my experience. Competing at the collegiate level will be one of the greatest accomplishments of my life and I would feel great honor to wear the uniform of whichever university I choose to attend in the future.
