Hi, My name is Olivia De Los Santos and I am currently a sophomore at Tenafly High School in New Jersey. I participate in winter and spring track and my main events are 100m, 200m, and 400m. As a track and field athlete, every year I improve my times and grow as I learn more about the sport. I am very determined and willing to work hard to reach my goals . When I put my mind to something I’ll do anything to achieve it.
Before I fell in love track, I did many other sports such as gymnastics for 7 years, twirling for 5 years, softball, tennis, dance and a few more. Throughout my elementary school years I was always active doing sports but I was never passionate about any of them until I tried track and field. Track and field was the sport that finally inspired me to strive to get better and I fell in love with it. All of the other sports I did previously, helped me build a strong foundation to start my track career strong.
My freshmen winter track season was a good start. I placed 2nd in my league for 200m. My personal best for 200m is 27.77 and for 55m it’s 7.94. I am currently training at Parisi School of Speed to continue to improve my strength and speed for the Winter and Spring Track season 20-21. I’ve set personal goals for myself that I will achieve.
At the moment my college goals include finding a great team and coach to train and compete with for Track and Field during my collegiate years. I want to continue to get better and reach my potential with the guidance of great coaches and the support of a great team and university.
I am a good candidate for any team because I work hard and I listen to guidance to improve each time I step on the track. I am also passionate and love the sport of Track and Field.
