Personal Statement

I spent my freshman year at Jackson Memorial High School in Jackson, NJ and have recently moved to Toms River, NJ and have started my sophomore year at Toms River North High School. I am competing on the girls varsity team for Toms River North High School. I have honors classes and advanced math and Spanish. I am interested in a college major mechanical or electrical engineering.
I am a strong, fast and coachable athlete and I am a sprinter and long jumper for the varsity team at my high school. I also run for the Maximum Speed Track Club, based out of Piscataway, NJ.
In January 2023, my high school team (Toms River North) won the NJSIAA Group 4 Relay Championships and the Ocean County Relays. At the NJSIAA, I was on the DMR team that won 1st place at the meet and ranked number 1 in the United States on January 14, 2023 (12:25.91). I was also on the 4x400 team in that meet. In the Ocean County Relays, I was on the SMR and 4x400 teams, and we placed first for both events. I was awarded the MVP for my Sophomore Season.
In June, 2023, I received the Sophomore MVP award for my contributions to the Toms River High School North Girls Varsity Track and Field team.
Overall, I would like to compete at the highest level in track while getting an education from a high academic institution.
