Danelle Rose '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Danelle Rose. I am currently a junior at Miller Place High School in Miller Place, NY on Long Island. I was asked to compete on the varsity level Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track teams in seventh grade.  I quickly fell in love with the sport, the disciplined lifestyle, and the commitment it requires.

I wish to bring my passion for the sport to the collegiate level.  I know I will be an asset to any college program and I desire the opportunity to contribute to the success of a team.  I work extremely hard every day in practices, and as captain of my team, I challenge my teammates to do the same.

Throughout my seasons on the varsity level, I have achieved All State, All Long Island, All County, All Division, and All League honors.  I am one who constantly strives to get better and is always looking for improvement.  I have confidence in my work ethic and I know my best times are still ahead. 

Academically, I challenge myself by taking AP and honors courses, and I study hard to obtain good grades.  I am a member of the National Honor Society and have been on the High Honor Roll all throughout my school career.  In addition to running and studying I make sure to give back to my community and help others through volunteering at my school, church, and local hospital. 

I am looking for a collegiate experience that will challenge me both academically and athletically.  I know that I possess the strength of character and the core values that will propel me to success in the future.
