Selena Carlyle '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I’m Selena Carlyle.  I began running track in middle school. Since I first started running track, I’ve always known that I wanted to run at a higher level. I know that running at the collegiate level is an honor and want nothing more than to have that honor.

My main events are the 100m,100mh and the 200m. I am currently team captain and am always providing my teammates with encouragement and a positive attitude.  I assist my Coach at practices by helping other teammates who may not understand the instruction or activity and serve as a role model for the rest of the team.      

Running track year-round is the standard for me.  Starting with pre-season, then indoor season, leading into outdoor season and finishing with summer track. I’m also very active in the gym. I weight-lift 3 times a week and am on a strict schedule. 

Although my GPA may not be the highest, I’m studying hard to increase my GPA.   I’m currently enrolled in honors classes, as well as AP classes. 

I’m interested in colleges with a strong track program that matches my level of skill and capabilities and offers a degree in dental hygiene.
