The first time I ran competitively was in 2016, a road race 5k sponsored through the City of Concord. My time was slow, and I was beyond exhausted when I crossed the finish line, but a spark had been ignited in my heart; my passion for running. Since that race, I've ran through numerous cross country seasons, indoor track seasons, outdoor track seasons, and even experienced a season of competitive swim to better my running. I've ran through severe asthma, injury, and pain. I've ran through personal hardships and traumas. Since that race in 2016, running has been my constant. My goal is to continue my running career into college, running for a program that fosters teamwork, hard-work, perseverance, and fun. I have worked extremely hard to improve since that beginning 5k, and I want to run for a program that will challenge me and drive me to continue improving.
My statement to you, as a coach, is this; I would honor the chance to run for your school. Thank you.
