Margo Roof '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a three sport athlete. I participate in Cross Country, though I have only done this my sophomore year and I was a varsity runner. I also play soccer for and made varsity as a freshman. I also run track, my main events are the 4x400 meter relay and high jump with a PR of 5 feet and 00 inches.  This PR will be improved as this is my first year attempting track. I would like to participate in soccer and track and field while in college.

What makes me a candidate for a team is that if at first I don't succeed I try until I get it right, then I will continue to push myself until it is the best I can do, then I will push myself more to proceed to get even better.  I am my own worst critic and my biggest competition. What makes me different with my character from other athletes is my humorous personality, I enjoy picking all my teammates up and making them laugh and feel good about themselves, even if they dislike me.  I make sure they are not having an awful day and put a smile on their faces because that is what a team is about. What makes me athletically different from other athletes is that I catch on to instructions very easily, if I get told, or instructed something new, I will be able to accomplish it the first few times and then just proceed to get better at that certain thing I was shown or told to do.

Academically, I am just like everyone else, I do my best and try but sometimes the outcome isn't always the best. If it is not what I would like, I then do everything I can to raise that certain grade up to an acceptable grade.
