Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Phoebe and I am a track and field athlete competing in the Discus and Shot Put. I started track and field in the 5th grade but didn't start throwing until 9th grade. I enjoy being a part of a team that's more like a community than anything. I hope to bring an infectious joy to any team! My goal is to become a sports psychologist so I can help other athletes get to their top potential. I know how it feels to be going through a hard time in your sport and I want to be a part of that wave of change. I am very active in my school community like being a part of many of my school's shows, trying out for almost every single sport last year and joining clubs. School is super important to me and it's a huge priority in my life. I maintain an 80% average while being a part of two shows a year and training at least twice a week. My Instagram is @phoebe_throws and I am so excited for my journey to begin!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
