I have three years of experience at the high school level of throwing on a track team. I affiliated myself with the sport of track and began throwing my sixth grade year of junior high. This decision has influenced my athletic career for the better. I believe that each year I have grown as an athlete and as a person. My sophomore year was my first year of having a coach that specializes in throwing. It was an unfamiliar experience for me, but it helped me grow and understand the appropriate ways of throwing. Up to my sophomore year I mainly taught myself, with little help from coaches here and there. I want a college that will challenge me both athletically and academically. I think I have what it takes to attend a school that will give me those types of challenges to overcome.
