Kyra Weiss '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Kyra. I will be a senior at Brandon Valley High School in South Dakota, and I am a multi-sport athlete that is focusing my efforts on track in my college future. I am mainly a mid-distance runner, but I am always willing to fill in where my team needs me. I am passionate about the 400m race, and have had a lot of success with the 200m and 800m throughout my track career.

I've been a runner since my first 5K when I was 7 years old and running has always been a part of my life. I always have goals set for myself and once I reach them, new ones are made and I work to achieve them. I am a hard worker, get the job done, and always strive for improvement to be the best at what I'm doing. During my junior year, I ran several PRs in my main events (200m, 400m, and relays), and helped my team bring home a state title. My sprint medley team broke the SD state record and were ranked 4th in the nation. Along with sports, academics are very important to me. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my HS career while being a multi-season/multi-sport athlete and will continue to do so throughout my senior year. I also participate in other school activities and clubs while juggling a job alongside my academics and athletics.
