Savannah Werner '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Savannah Werner.  I am an honor roll student enrolled at South Burlington High School in Vermont, graduating in 2023.  Since the beginning of middle school, all the way until now, I have been extremely passionate about Track and Field.  I am currently on the Track and Field team as a thrower.   Shot Put is my main event.  In the winter I also do weight throw, and in the spring I occasionally do discus.  I have tried many other sports but none of them clicked with me as well as track.  My current best for shot put is 29 feet and in general I throw around 27 to 28 feet.  I have a goal of breaking 30 feet by the end of the spring season.  The more I practice and explore throwing techniques, the more I improve.  I'm always open to any feedback and/or suggestions that will make me a better athlete.  I look forward to my personal growth as I continue my journey to pursue Track and Field this year, next year, and throughout college.
