My name is Jazlyn Mariah Jefferson, I am 16 years old. I go to Greensville County High School and i’m a member of their track and field team. I’m a student athlete, i also play basketball, volleyball, and hold a GPA of 3.6. I started running track in 9th grade, I started because of my height and how everyone talked about my long legs. I didn’t expect for me to go as far as I am and take it this serious. I love track & I am fully dedicated! I’m a very determined and competitive athlete. This track season I was a junior in high school and I made it to the states level. I’m now a 400m dash and a long jump champion. After states I continued to do track and try to take it to the national level. I made it to the association championships and qualified for the triple jump at the national level. I went to the USATF Hershey’s Junior Olympic Championships and placed 20th place out of 58 girls. For it to be my 3 year doing triple jump going against girls thats been doing it for years I was pretty satisfied with myself. I believe i’m a good recruit because I am talented at my events and still have so much to learn. I still have so much to learn and I am willing to learn. I am very self motivated and always try to never let nobody see me down no matter the situation. I plan to graduate high school with an advanced diploma and also an associate’s degree. I hope to get a track scholarship to one of my dream schools and work to become a pediatrician.
