Brittany Gappa '13 Recruiting Profile

I'm 5 foot 4 in. and I weigh 120 lbs. My fastest track 5k is 17:43.59 (I recently ran a 17:11 fast road 5k), my fastest track 3200 is 10:51, my fastest track 1600 is 5:02. As a Freshman, I placed 9th at state XC and 4th in the 3200 track. As a Sophomore, I placed 5th at State XC, and won Subs and Districts in both the 1600 and the 3200 for track. Unfortunately, I was unable to compete in track State due to a foot injury. I rebounded during my Junior year of XC, with a XC 5k PR of 18:08. I was also Conference and Districts Champion, and had a 5th place finish at State. I finished my Junior track season, with a 5:02 1600 PR and a 10:51 3200 PR, as well as two 2nd place State finishes. I started my Senior cross country season strong, and my goal was to run 18:00 on the State course. I ended up getting really sick near the end of the season, missing Confrence, just running to qualify at Districs, and I placed 5th at State. I'm hoping to have a great track season. On a college team I can offer dedication. I will never quit no matter what. I don't have a preference on where I go to school geographically. I am open to different types of schools. I haven't decided on a major yet. I would like to play at the highest competition level.
