Samantha Lester '14 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to obtain a scholarship in discus.  I placed 6th in WA state AAA Track and Field Championships in 2012 as a Sophomore.  I attended Ironwood Throwers Camp three times and learned many new skills and am looking forward to implementing them this spring. 

I am on the swim team in the fall and have been to State Championships my Sophomore, Junior and Senior years. Swimming keeps me in great physical condition. During winter sports I do afterschool weight training and conditioning.

I have achieved Academic Scholar every semester in my high school career and have varsity letters three years in track, four years in swim, and two years in basketball. Currently my GPA is 4.0. accumulative is 3.78.  US History, chemistry and choir are my favorite classes I have taken many IB and honors classes all through high school.

I have worked very hard in school and athletics and consider myself to be very disciplined in all areas of my life. I hope that my hard work will pay off with athletic and academic scholarships so I will have the opportunity to receive a great education and achieve the many goals I have yet to accomplish.
