Personal Statement
My name is Gracie Williams, and I LOVE volleyball! I have been playing for five years. I am a homeschool student, but I am in my second season on the Varsity team for Auburn High School (7A) in Auburn, AL. We won gold at the Party On the Plains and Smith’s Station Tournament. We also won silver at the Enterprise High School Invitational. We are also the Regular Season Conference Champions, 2nd in Regionals, and "Elite Eight" in the state. I am currently playing up on the A5 South 18-1 team and we have had great success. We finished in gold in the Music City Championships and Icebreaker, won silver in AVC Dallas, and we won a bid in Beast of the Southeast and SRVA regionals.
Ever since I started volleyball, I have loved it. It has taught me new things about myself, as well as good qualities such as the value of hard work, integrity, and always planning ahead. My passion for the sport has continued to grow over the years and will continue to grow like crazy.
I am a dedicated Christian and have been for most of my life. My faith has taught me to be a hard worker, in all that I do, and to always give my all. The next most important part of my life is my family. I have two loving, supporting parents, and two younger sisters who keep me on my toes. Next up is my education. I am currently interested in studying Osteopathics and/or Journalism. Osteopathy interests me because I would love to know more about taking care of my body. I am interested in studying journalism, because I have always loved writing.
Recently, I have been given the opportunity to work with the 12-1 team and I have loved it! It has taught me to encourage while instructing, communicate better, and it has given me a greater love for the game. I look forward to more exciting opportunities. I can't wait to see what lies ahead of me! I am a coach's dream and my opponents worst nightmare.
