Kylee Carnes '21 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Kylee Carnes, I am a junior at Payson High School and have goals of continuing my volleyball career while studying Business in college. I have been passionate about volleyball since I was in elementary school. I have been considered a utility player by all of my coaches as my position changed from season to season depending on what my team was currently in need of. I am a 4 year varsity player. Early on I played the position of libero and outside, later on I was used as a setter and right side hitter. This past school season I played primarily Outside until late in the season when they needed me as a setter.  I am also very proud to say that I was recognized as 2019 Arizona 3A East All Region 2nd team as an outside hitter.  My season stats ended with me being in the top ten in our region for the following categories; assists, digs, aces, blocks and kills. 

    I am a good student, team mate and friend to all I encounter. I have been voted team captain several years by my team mates and coaches. I value good character and have high integrity. I am known to be very aggressive whether it be practice or game time and continue to keep my team motivated. 

    I have worked hard to maintain good grades in school while balancing sports and quality time with my family.  I currently carry a GPA of 3.6. I know college will be challenging but I am excited to take it on and become a successful college student athlete.
