Hello! Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I am a 5'10" setter with opposite side and defensive specialist skills. I love volleyball!
I'm an 'A' student at Notre Dame Preparatory High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. I will graduate in 2021. I was accepted into NDP as a Saints Scholar. This means I take honors and advanced level courses. As a freshman, during year-end academic awards, I was honored to be given the Physical Education athlete award for the entire Freshman class. As a sophomore, during year-end academic awards, I was honored to be given the English Department Academic Excellence award for the entire Sophomore class. During my Freshman year, I played on the Junior Varsity Volleyball team and served as captain. As a sophomore and junior, I was a starting player on the Varsity Team. I was recognized as a top 5A setter during my Junior season.
I have played club volleyball for 6 years. My first 3 years were at Arizona Storm Volleyball Club where I was a starting setter and captain every year. For the last two years, I have played for Livewire Volleyball Club. During my first season (2018) with Livewire, our team was able to compete in the Open Division at the National Tournament. During my 2019 season with Livewire, I was able to lead our team to a Bronze finish in the Premier Division of the AAU National Tournament.
I would love to play volleyball at the collegiate level. I'm open to the possibility of attending college anywhere. I work hard for my coaches and my teammates. If I get the opportunity, I spend extra time on the court and in the gym improving my skills and athleticism. I can make an impact on any team with my leadership skills and vocal team first attitude.
My academic goals will be in the area of music and performance. My desire is to focus my studies on vocal performance. It is my goal to be a well-rounded student athlete. I'm looking for a college that offers a great balance between the court and the classroom.
Giving back has always been a priority for my family. I have learned throughout life and have grown to believe that it is our responsibility to support our community. Whether it's packing canvas backpacks with food essentials, hygiene supplies, and a bible to distribute to our homeless members of society, spending time making quilts for hospitalized children, or volunteering at local charitable organizations, it has always been important for me to share my faith and my blessings. I have attended a Christian sports summer camp for ten years and have learned many valuable lessons on bringing character and leadership skills to the volleyball court.
My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a highly competitive level. I want to make a positive impact on and for the team and be an example to my fellow students and teammates. Everyone can make a difference. I want to enter college with that goal for my team, my career, and my life.
