Jastyn Vickers '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jastyn Vickers. I am a Defensive Specialist for Conway High School and will be graduating in 2019. I live with my parents Mike and Cindy Vickers, and my older sister Haleigh. I was raised in a Christian home with a supportive family. The most important things to me is my relationship with Christ and my family. I am currently involved in two Christian based small groups K-life Conway, Disciple- group, and I am a member of and regularly attend as well as volunteer serving during Sunday Services at Second Baptist Church Conway.

I fell in love with volleyball in 4th grade when I started playing on a local club team! Ever since then my goal has been to play volleyball at the next level. I would describe myself as a very competitive athlete, a leader on the court, and a positive thinker. I understand the mental aspect of volleyball and I always focus on the next point and how to better the ball each time I touch it. I am driven, consistent, and disciplined. I always give my coaches, teammates and the game 110%.

I currently hold a 3.3 GPA while taking Pre-AP History and while staying actively involved in school sponsored clubs including Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of America and Conway Caring Cats. I am leaning toward a psychology major. I believe there is always room for improvement and cannot wait to see what the future holds for me!
