I've always played multiple sports throughout middle school and high school. I really fell in love with volleyball sophomore year when I moved to San Diego. I came into the program not knowing much technique but I worked relentlessly to get better. I had an amazing team and we were undefeated league champions that year. I couldn't get enough of volleyball. When I wasn't in the gym, I was at the beach or peppering in the backyard. I'm a quick learner and I love working hard. I've been told I show a lot of fire on the court and that paired with my passion and dedication is what sets me apart.
I had the opportunity to skip a grade making me younger than the usual junior along with less experience. Not making varsity my junior was disappointing but playing JV gave me the chance to become a captain and develop more leadership skills. I learned a lot about being a team player and how far a positive attitude can go. I went from getting so frustrated with myself to uplifting everyone else and being the loudest one on and off the court. We won another league championship this year, and it was crazy seeing how much I grew as a player and a person during the season. And I'm excited to get even better this club season.
A little about my life outside of volleyball; I lead a club at my high school called Help For Hope, which helps raise money and awareness for sex trafficking victims. This club is important to me because I can't stand seeing people in need and not doing anything to help. In college I want to major in Psychology and later go into Criminal Psychology. Working in the Justice System would be an amazing opportunity to help people and stand up for those who were treated unfairly.
I absolutely love volleyball and I hope I'm the kind of player you're looking for! Thanks for taking the time to read this!
