Sarah Verhalen '16 Recruiting Profile

I have played club volleyball since the eighth grade, and have had a passion for the sport ever since I began playing. I'm very quick, and a consistent passer and hitter. I tend to be a steady, supportive player who tries to stay positive through the good and bad games. Always striving to do my best and work hard, I push myself to be a better player. A strong team is important to me, and I don't like any drama between players.

Throughout high school I have maintained a high GPA, and am always striving to be a better student. This year I am first in my class, and I will work hard to remain in that spot next year. Through all of my years in school I have found that I enjoy english and literature the most. I hope to major in journalism in my college experience. 

I want to find a college that best fits my desires and needs for both school and volleyball, and am ready to work hard in both areas. I'm excited to begin my collegiate years, and further my skills and understanding in the classroom and on the court.
