I am a 5'8" outside hitter for my club team and a utility player for my high school. Being a shorter outside and a utility player, I focus and specialize in passing. In addition, I use smart placement over power when I hit. I am very quick, agile, competitive, coachable, hard working, and energetic. I give 100% of my effort every time I step in the gym and on the court. I love being active, and have been all my life. I recently stopped playing soccer after 10 years and I currently participate in track at my high school. I converted from soccer to volleyball my freshman year of high school, meaning I have only played volleyball for three years. Even though I have not played very long, I have been nominated both club seasons for player of the month by my club coach and I have received the coaches award from my high school coach both freshman, sophomore, and junior year. Although I have not been playing volleyball long, I love the sport and look forward to improving daily. I strive to do the best I possibly can both on and off the court.
Academics are a huge part of my life. I love being challenged, so I take difficult classes. I am currently enrolled in multiple honors and AP courses, and I strive to do the best I can in these classes. I currently have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 4.8 weighted GPA. I have been in the top 20 students for my grade my freshman and sophomore years, and I am ranked 5th out of 720 students in my class. My interests are still changing so I am still not sure of what I intend to major in; however, I love the subjects math and science. Furthermore, I love working with children. I am a registered Girl Scout and have been since kindergarten. Through Girl Scouts, I have completed multiple service projects and have participated in leading the annual Girl Scout Summer Camp for the past three years. Also, my soccer team actively volunteers for the AYSO VIP Organization, the special needs program. My team also participates in raising money to build wells through an organization called AwayToHelp.org to provide clean, fresh water to Uganda.
