Personal Statement
I believe that I'm a great contribution to any team. I am a libero, but am always willing to play any position that is best for my team. I'm never complacent, and am always looking for ways to better myself. I work daily to improve myself by doing sports training at Bonsu Elite Athletics, and going to many volleyball camps and clinics. The past six years, I have played club volleyball. I am currently playing for Rage Volleyball Club and am the libero. I’m also the team captain, being a leader on and off the court. This past July, I returned for the second year to USA A-2 National Team Training in Colorado Springs and am very inspired to continue following my volleyball dreams. I am varsity libero for Beyer High School. I am junior class president and in leadership at school and have many responsibilities. I am also a member of the California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF). As a leader, I stay positive in every situation and believe that each situation I am put into, is a learning experience. I love volleyball and will continue to improve and work hard. Outside of volleyball, I am very passionate about making our world a better place. I organized a food drive to help the needy through my church. I volunteer as a greeter and a Sunday school teacher at my church. I teach awareness about childhood cancers by giving speeches at my school. I was inspired by my best friend Ally who is currently fighting cancer. I am also in the process of writing a book about cancer. It should be published in the next year. I volunteered my time to help 3rd grade children with reading and math. I also am a 10k with a Cop Mentor to children. I love all sports and have also played soccer, basketball, and track for my school. My real passion is volleyball and I look forward to following my dreams by playing college volleyball.
