My name is Alyesha Shah and I am a Libero/Ds. I have been playing volleyball since 7th grade and immediately fell in love with the sport; this is now my 5th year playing. I play at Corona Del Mar Highschool (3.9 GPA), Varsity. This is my 3rd year playing at Balboa Bay volleyball club located in Southern California. At the young age of 4 I began to play sports. I have always had a huge love and passion for sports, but as I began to experience volleyball I knew this was the sport I was most passionate about. I have competed in Mixed Martial Arts (6 years), Brazilian Jiujitsu (6 years), Gymnastics (4 years), and Track & Field (1 year). I used to audition for many commercials, eventually booking them with Chevy and Google along with modeling agencies. Although I had to give it up for my focus on academics and volleyball. Acting taught me many things like confidence, leadership, and how to quickly take direction. I use these things in my everyday life especially when it comes to volleyball.  

I currently play on Balboa Bay's 17-1's team. I continue to advance my skills with weekly strength training and plyometrics with Jordan Hoppe (professional volleyball strength trainer) along with important recovery from Lisa Boyer. To better myself as an overall player, I like to keep one foot on the sand and train beach volleyball at Spiker Volleyball club with Jacob Spiker Gibb (AVP professional four-time Olympian)
