My name is Carissa and I currently go to Sage Hill School class of 2018. I was on JV my freshman and sophomore years and Varsity my junior year when we got third in CIF D3. Senior year, I am starting Libero and excited for the rest of the season. For the past three years, I have played club at Momentous and was team captain my freshman and junior years. I have also played beach volleyball on the high school team since freshman year and plan on playing next season as well. Throughout high school, I have always been the first one in the gym, setting up the nets, trying to get extra reps before practice even started as I have a love for the game and hope to continue in college.
I am currently interested in many majors including Business (marketing and management), Psychology, or Education. I am very open to attending a university either in state or out of state and am excited for college.
I do a lot of volunteer work, as I am a member of National Charity League, but I specifically work with Illumination Foundation and I have started both a club and service learning group at my school for them. Last year, I introduced the idea of putting a fundraiser on to raise money for Illumination Foundation to a local business and we were able to raise $275,000. Due to the volunteer work, I am an ABC7 Cool Kid and doing volunteer work and being involved in the community is a huge part of my life as I value the relationships I make with others around me.
