Personal Statement
I grew up in a very active family and have been playing sports my whole life. Once I discovered volleyball, I fell in love and knew it was the sport for me. I starting playing for fun in the 6th grade and quickly realized that I wanted to give club a try. Being surrounded by college coaches and college-bound players showed me how volleyball can postitively impact my future. Being in this environment inspired me to work hard and hopefully play at the collegiate level. Ever since I started club at 12 years old, I participated in workouts and clinics that my club had to offer. I still continue to particepate in agility and weight training on a regular basis. With the work I put in on and off the court, I hope to inspire my teamates to do the same. I always strive to be the player my teamates can depend on and trust to perform at a high level.
Outside of volleyball, I'm dedicated to working hard in the classroom. I have always maintained a high GPA and taken academics very seriously. In middle school I was in the International Bacclurate Program where I took advanced classes and completed several community service hours. In high school, I continue to take college prep courses to ensure that I put myself in the best position to continue my academic and athletic career. I hope to have the opportunity to bring my hardwork, dedication and energy to a college campus, volleyball program and community.
