Hello, my name is Maddison Hotaling. I currently reside in Rohnert Park, CA and I am attending Rancho Cotate High School. I was born in Matthews, North Carolina and my family relocated to California when I was 4 so Northern California is home.
I will be starting my 6th year of Club Volleyball in December. My final club season will be with Aftershock Volleyball Club. I will be playing Libero on their 18-1 team. I started out playing Setter and the past 5 seasons I transitioned to Libero where I feel at home. I love being the Defensive Leader on the floor and doing everything I can to help my team win. I have really enjoyed these past 5 seasons and feel I have grown as a player.
I am looking for a College where I can find a home both in the classroom and on the court. I am searching for an institution where I can pursue my degree in Nursing. I would like to find a program where I can make an impact right away. My dream since 6th grade was to play volleyball in college. My goal has been to earn a scholarship so I have every opportunity to earn my degree and prepare for life after college.
I am a passionate player who handles pressure well. I have been told that I am a coachable player and I am always willing to learn to improve my skills. I am extremely competitive and I don’t like to lose. I pride myself in working hard in practice which translates to the match. I am a player who really enjoys practicing and working to get better. I fell in love with Volleyball in 6th grade and as I continue to improve as a player my love of the sport continues to grow. I am a student of the game and enjoy learning everything I can to get better. I could see myself getting into coaching after my playing career was over.
I have a strong work ethic in classroom as well as the gym. I will graduate with a GPA above 3.8 and my class rank is 19 out of 350. My competitive drive is pushing me to earn my way into the top 10 in my class.
I look forward to pursuing my Volleyball career at the next level while I earn my degree and prepare for my future! Please give me consideration for your program. I promise I won't let you down!
