For the second year in a row, I was chosen by USA Volleyball's High Performance (HP) Department to attend their Summer 2015 USA Girls Youth National Training Program as a Setter. Thousands of girls who were born in 1998 or 1999 tried out for this program and I am truly honored to have been selected twice. Training with some of our country's best players and coaches during the Summers of 2014 and 2015 was a fantastic and rewarding experience. Under the "Events" section of my profile, all of the summer volleyball programs that I have attended are listed.
As a junior at Bradshaw Christian High School, I had a successful third season playing on the varsity volleyball team:
For the third year in a row, we advanced to the CIF Sectional Finals.
Chosen as Captain by my teammates.
Chosen as Team MVP by my teammates.
Selected to the "All Sierra Delta League" team for the second year in a row (10 players were chosen for this in 2015).
On September 19, 2015 I was honored to be named to the "All Tournament Team" at the "Northern California Division 5 Volleyball Showcase" in San Francisco.
My serving percentage was 94% out 474 serves with 80 aces -- highest on my team
I had 664 assists, which led the league and ranks 27th in ALL of California among Junior setters (according to MaxPreps)
In 2016, I played my sixth season of club volleyball for Force Performance Volleyball Club, playing "up" on the FPVC 18-1 team. I have also played grass doubles tournaments, at the women, junior and adult co-ed levels.
Through playing and training I plan to become the best volleyball player that I can possibly be. However, I understand that I can’t play volleyball forever and that education is the most important aspect of high school and college. Being focused on the volleyball court has helped me be more focused in the classroom. After completing the first semester of my junior year of high school, my cumulative GPA through five semesters is 4.4 (my report cards are posted under "Academics" on this web page).
My SAT cumulative "super-score" is 2000, which is 93rd percentile when compared to high school seniors. (Reading = 630; Math = 710; Writing = 660).
I also took the ACT in June 2015 and earned a composite score of 30, which is 95th percentile. (English = 31; Math = 32; Reading = 32; Science = 26; Combined English/Writing = 29, with a score of 8 on Writing).
God has blessed me with talents in both the classroom and on the volleyball court. I want to use my abilities to best honor Him in all that I do. I hope to use these academic and athletic abilities at the college level. Please take a few minutes to review the other parts of my NCSA profile, especially the highlight videos.
