Gillian Tripp '17 Recruiting Profile

I was recently called an a ATTACK setter because I can hit. I have been told by numerous volleyball coaches that I have "good hands". I am a fast tempo setter and can slam a dump with my left hand. I have an accurate jump serve.  I am a positive and aggressive player on the court who strives to become a better player every hit, every pass and every set. I am a team player who is happy and encouraging. 

I have played multiple positions such as; setter, opposite hitter, outside hitter and even middle this year.  I understand the positional play of my teammates and find that playing many positions has made me a better setter.  I have played for the same club coach for five years.  I have always played up, I am two years younger than most of my teammates.  In 2015, our team made it to the GJNC in New Orleans. In 2016 we finished 14th in NVCA. 

Last year, I was the starting setter when our team won the Butte View League Conference Title and named All League and MVP .   I am also a jumper in Track and Field. Varsity 2015, I received the Varsity Outstanding Jumper Award . 

I pride myself on being a great student-athlete on and off the court and look forward to attending college where I can achieve my dream of becoming a collegiate volleyball player and obtaining my undergraduate degree.
