Personal Statement

I am a hard working team leader and competitor. I am a team player and always encourage my teammates to be the best version of themselves, both in athletics and in the world around them. With my strong appearance in academics holding a weighted GPA of 4.43, I would like to attend a respected university where my primary focus will be to earn a degree in aerospace engineering. In addition, I also want to play competitive D1-D3 volleyball and will be a solid contributor to your team. I am coachable, have a strong volleyball IQ, am always learning, and easily create strong bonds with my teammates both on and off the court. In my sixth year for both school and club, and as captain or co-captain of every team for the past five years, I know how to motivate my team to come together, create momentum, and win. We are currently in SCVA Division 2 (Top 32) and my team last year won 1st place (16 American) at the 2019 Far Western Qualifier in Reno (obtaining a bid to JO's) and also won 2019 SCVA Las Vegas Classic (16 Club) (128 teams). I am primarily a setter now, but know how to get a kill at any spot. I also love to block! I am the starting setter for both club and varsity where I was selected first team all league (CIF Div 4) and received recognition as a scholar athlete. I really enjoy and excel at both school and volleyball and am excited to play at the next level.

  • ActivitiesI am a member of National Charity League and have at least 30 hours per year of volunteering in the local community. I have helped Relay for Life, Food Share, Many Meals, and Special Olympics. My favorite charity is working at Douglas Penfield School. It is a school for the severely handicapped elementary aged children of our community. I work 1-2 weeks during their summer school session. It is rewarding just to put a smile on their faces. We play outside and inside games. Some kids cannot move or communicate, but you can tell by their face if they are having a good time. I have learned a lot about patience and the simple pleasures of life that not all of us experience. I look forward to working there every year.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
