As a young sport athlete, I have learned a lot about myself while playing volleyball. I started playing volleyball at the age of 11 years old, not really knowing much about the game volleyball and the fundamentals that are involved I knew I just wanted to play. I tried out for a local club here in Parker, Colorado called RVC, and with no experience at the age of 11 years old and I was chosen to play on the 13 year old's team. I have continued to play up based on my leadership characteristics and skill sets.
In addition, my current goal is to continue to get better and enhance my skills in volleyball. To be more specific I would like to be better on my defense, even though I currently play all around (setter, right side) I want to work on being better defending when I am up top or in the middle. What makes me a good candidate for my current team is that I am coachable, I am an all around player and play just about any position. I enjoy empowering my teammates and bringing out the best in everyone. I like to think I am the type of player who has grit and who hustles at all times.
More importantly, I currently carry a 3.8 GPA and I have been on the honor roll for the last three years in middle school. I also taking honors classes and will take honors classes going into high school this year.
