My goals and aspirations for college is to tone my skills in volleyball and build my character for my future. Once I actually started to focus on getting better stop volleyball in high school, it really helped me open up more and create a stronger bond with my team. Although I've gotten better, I still struggle with a few things and I think that the more experience I get, the better I'll be.
A few things that I can bring to a team is support, perseverance and a very coachable attitude. I make sure all my teammates feel included and confident in themselves even if they make a mistake. I actively seek out ways to make myself and my team better by implicating advice into my play. When I or my team is having a rough time, I make sure to be there as a way of support when they need it. For me personally, when I'm having a tough time during a game or even just in general, I push myself to make smart decisions that will help me get to my goal the best.
I would mostly describe my character as more reserved than others. Even though I may come off as shy outside of volleyball, once I'm on the court and people get to know me, I have a very kind and fun personality. I feel like I show a lot of courage and put myself out there when needed. I also have great communication and teamwork which is a standard I make sure to hold myself to in life.
Something that sets me apart from others academically wise is that on top of being an Athlete, I take 3 AP classes in school, which isn't an easy task to manage. Athletically something that sets me apart is that I have a very determined personality and will reach out however needed to get better. Also, community is really important to me so I take time to create stronger bonds with my teammates so we understand each other well.
