Tessa Vaughan '17 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing volleyball since I was in first grade, and sine then I always aspired to play in college. There is no better place for me than to be on a court with my teammates knowing I've played to the best of my ability and that I haven't let them down. Playing in college is an experience that not everyone gets the chance to experience and I hope its something I can experience too.

I'm a middle hitter/ blocker but also can set and hit back side. I have a strong serve and even stronger confidence. I'm quick n my toes when it comes to moving around the court. I'm one of the hardest working players on the team and try my best to never let my team down. I am very coachable because I want nothing more than to be the best version of my self as an athlete.

When I'm not on the court I'm at school maintaining my gpa while I balance dual sports. My work ethic is applied both on and off the court as well. I am involved with our student government as well as National Honors Society councl. I spend the remainder of my time in the elementary helping out the teachers by testing the students or teaching lessons.During the summer I spend my time in the gym improving ,myself with the team, leading youth camps, helping out in summer school/ jump start programs, or improving myself on my own by even more workouts. I am 100% committed to sports and school. I try to take every opportunity I can to be around the youth of my community to set a strong role model for them. I hope I can make my parents and community proud and know that my hard work paid off.
