Alyssa Medeiros '24 Recruiting Profile

I appreciate you taking the time to review my profile as well as the other recruits.  My name is Alyssa Medeiros.  I am an Outside Hitter/Pin Hitter and as I am sure you will hear from everyone else, I LOVE Volleyball!  I believe you will find that I am a total team player and work hard at being a leader on my team to help others succeed along with me.  I believe I get as much enjoyment seeing my teammates succeed as when I succeed.  I have found that when we put in the work together, play, and have fun as a team, most often we are successful as a team.  This applies both on the court, in the classroom, and I believe in life.  I have a passion for Volleyball and have been playing for 10 years and am constantly looking at ways to improve.  In fact, my very first club team was coached by my older sister who instilled the drive and desire in me to be the best at all I do.  In addition to school and club volleyball, I also take private and group lessons with former Team USA member Tracy (Stalls) Insalaco through "Serve With Heart" in Colorado Springs, Co and have trained for a couple of years with PowerCore 360 in Denver.  My goal is to find a school that fits with me both as an athlete and academically.  My career goal after school is to help others with work in Physical Therapy.  I currently have a 3.77 GPA and enjoy school "almost" as much as volleyball.  In addition to Volleyball and School, I work out multiple times per week at a local gym.  I find this helps me both physically and mentally to prepare for whatever challenges lie ahead.  Outside of that, I enjoy baking, spending time with my dogs (and my human family), and playing Tennis.  I would appreciate it if you took a few minutes to review my profile and my videos.
